Merv was born in Oamaru and has lived here all his life. He was bought up on a farm in Totara area in North Otago. As a teenager he completed a mechanical apprenticeship, before purchasing the family farm which he owned for over 25 years. In 2007 the Dalziel family was awarded the CRT Century Farm Award for over 100 years of farm ownership. In 1996 Merv was awarded the Grasslands Memorial Trust Farmers Award for Excellence in Intensive Grassland Farming.
Merv has been working in real estate for over 10 years, selling rural and lifestyle properties. Through his employment at his previous agency he was awarded a Special Achievement Award for Business Development in Real Estate and has achieved Top 10 Agents nationwide for the past four consecutive years. In 2017, he was part of the Top Office in Oamaru for this agency. In 2012 Merv completed the Real Estate Branch Manager National Certificate.
Merv is married to Lianne, who is also his full time Personal Assistant and qualified Real Estate Salesperson, and he has four children, 2 stepdaughters and 7 grandchildren. Merv has good negotiation skills with strong local knowledge, farming experience and proven sales history. Merv and Lianne are a well-established husband and wife real estate team assuring good communication for all their clients. |
Lianne was born in Dunedin and has lived in Oamaru for over 18 years, 10 of those spent farming. In 2007 the Dalziel family was awarded the CRT Century Farm Award for over 100 years of farm ownership. Lianne has a Bachelor of Education (Teaching) 0-8 years and a National Diploma in Business Level 5. Previously working in early childhood centres, lower primary school and for North Otago Plunket Society as a parent educator. Lianne has completed her Real Estate Salesperson Certificate in 2009 and has been working as her husband Merv’s personal assistant ever since, being a big part of Merv’s achievements in real estate including Top 10 Agents nationwide for the past 4 consecutive years and Oamaru Top Office in 2017 for their previous agency. Lianne has 2 daughters, 4 step children and 7 step grandchildren. Merv and Liane have built two houses and developed a subdivision within the past 12 years.
